Lane End (England, Cumbria Lake District, Eskdale)

Situated in the heart of Eskdale, one of the most tranquil valleys of the Lake District, Lane End is a traditional Lakeland cottage yet has many modern features. Sleeping 5/6 the cottage is tastefully decorated throughout and has the added comfort of an open fire! With stunning views of the Eskdale valley and fells, there are hundreds of walks right from the door.

The rural hamlet of Boot is found in the Eskdale valley, one of the quieter valleys in the Lake District. Lane End is a wonderful rural retreat with high quality accommodation and sleeps up to 5/6 people. This holiday home boasts wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.

Eskdale is a great starting point for a huge choice of walks. Choose from fell walks or rambles by the banks of the River Esk. This river meanders from Scafell at the top of the valley right the way down to the estuary at Ravenglass, a charming old fishing village! This river is popular for both fishing and boating. The Eskdale valley also has an 18 hole golf course . Recommended for a visit is the famous Ravenglass & Eskdale Miniature Railway which guides passengers through the valley, on a wonderful steam train adventure down to the sea.

For those who enjoy a tipple, choose from 5 pubs in the valley. There is one, Brook House Inn just a short distance from the cottage and another, Boot Inn, just a few minutes walk away.
